Evans, James H., beloved husband for 51 years of Stella Moore
Evans, devoted father of Karen (Mark) Brown, Carmen Evans and James
"Jimmy" H. Evans II, loving grandfather of Jaime and Paige
Litkenhaus, Alex and Sara Woroncow, Brian and Katy Brown, loving
great-grandfather of Stella Madeline Carle, son of the late Henry
and Gertrude Aubry Evans, brother of the late Lawrence Evans and
Sara Mae Brackney; also survived by nieces, nephews, many cousins
and great friends. Saturday, July 3, 2010, residence Pleasant
Ridge. Mass of Christian Burial, Nativity Church, 5936 Ridge Ave,
Pleasant Ridge, Monday, July 12, 10 AM, visitation Evans Funeral

Mr. Evans was born April 16, 1938, in Fayetteville, Ohio to the
late Henry Evans and Gertrude Aubry Evans. He graduated from
Fayetteville High School in 1957, still keeping in touch with his
classmates today. Jim carried mail for 10 years, had Jim's Sunoco
in Pleasant Ridge and worked in many factories as a millwright,
plumber, mechanic and electrician. He worked for American
Standard, Clopay and LeBlonde. He built 4 factories and put the
machinery together and running properly. He also closed a factory.
Disassembling the machinery to truck out of state. His last
factory was a new building. He was responsible for the plumbing,
electric, waste treatment and moving all the machinery from Blue
Ash to Fairfield. He also did over the road hauling to Michigan
and Canada. In between jobs, he built a factory in Mobile, AL,
taking an empty old building and turned it into a metal plating
company.
Jim was a Knight of Columbus, Elder Council 3rd Degree and an
Archbishop Leibolt Council 4th Degree. He was also active in the
Hibernians. He was in the social club, former 200 club treasurer
and American Irish Club treasurer, Cincinnati Chapter of K of C
treasurer and financial secretary for Elder Council of K of
C.
