Clyde Edward Dorn age 83 of Sycamore Township, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Clyde was born August 26, 1938 in Elmwood Place the son of Clyde and Matilda (nee Feld) Dorn. He served in the U.S. Army and was discharged in 1960 from Ft. Benning, Georgia.

Clyde was an English Teacher for the University of Cincinnati before his retirement, and he also authored several short stories that were published in the Cincinnati Enquirer Magazine and Ohio Magazine. Clyde served as Mayor of Madeira from 1993-1995.

On August 3, 1963 he married his wife of 57 years, Patricia (nee Hicks) Dorn, who survives along with their children and spouses; Theresa Marie & Doug Carmichael, Patricia Lynne & Jerry Teuschler, Carol Sue & Woody Bell and Reverend Thomas Edward Dorn, grandchildren; Joseph (Makayla) Carmichael, Michael McCormick, Mary Kate McCormick, Emily McCormick, Elizabeth Bell and Caroline Bell, siblings Joan Barrett, Neil Dorn, David Dorn, Elaine Herzog and Carol Ann Marchand, as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Along with his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dorn and Roger Dorn.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St. in Milford 45150. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the St. Gertrude Church, 6543 Miami Ave. Madeira 45243. Reverend Thomas Edward Dorn will celebrate the Mass. Burial with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army, will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Montgomery Road.
