Elmer W. Stegbauer, 89, of Lynchburg, passed away May 16, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born June 15, 1930 in Newtown, Ohio to Joseph and Esther (Wolfer) Stegbauer.
He was an army veteran of the Korean conflict, and a lifelong farmer. He raised vegetables in Perintown, Ohio until 1984 and then moved to Lynchburg, Ohio to grain farm. In addition to farming, Elmer loved camping with his family and exploring out west. He also enjoyed spending his winters in Florida where he made many close friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Alvera (Kaub) Stegbauer, daughter Alice (Deon) Fender, 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Breanne, Evan, and Ryan Fender. A brother Carl (Nancy) Stegbauer. As well as additional family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Vera (Stegbauer) Schmidt.
Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Friday, May 22nd from 10 AM until time of services beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fayetteville.
