Herbert Charles Wottle beloved husband of 40 years to the late Joan Antoinette (nee Mehne) Wottle; loving father of Linda Wottle Grant, Brian Wottle and Jon Wottle; cherished grandfather of Thomas Edward Grant, Andrea (Mark) Grant-Mette and Trevis Meseroll; great grandfather of Owen Mette, Elise Mette, Gavin Mette, Austin Meseroll and Jayce Meseroll, ; great great grandfather of Willow Meseroll. He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Betty (nee Breidenbach) Wottle; and his brother, Edward Wottle. Passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019. Age 86. Residence Milford. Herb grew up in St Bernard and attended St. Clements Church. He was a graduate of Roger Bacon High School and then received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from the Anthenaeum of Ohio in 1954. Herb taught private music lessons in piano and organ for years. He was organist and music teacher at St Andrew Church in Milford for 47 years. He was a member of ATOS - American Theater Organ Society and musically accompanied silent film. Herb was a composer of music and had a number of his pieces published. He was a member of the Cecil Young Orchestra. Herb was featured in a Lykins Energy Solutions commercial and made popular the saying "You better believe it". Memorial visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford on Wednesday February 6th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A memorial funeral mass will follow at St Andrew Church, 552 Main St., Milford on Wednesday February 6th at Noon. Inurnment will follow at St Andrew Cemetery in Milford. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association.
