Joseph Patrick McAfee beloved husband of 55 years to Susan (nee Sheehan) McAfee; loving father of Joseph (Lori) McAfee, Stephan (Kelley) McAfee and Brian McAfee; cherished grandfather of Hunter, Gunnar and Mallory McAfee; dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Katherine (nee Maes) McAfee; his brothers, William and James McAfee, and his Godson, Christopher Eastabrooks.Passed away on Tuesday July 3, 2018. Age 83. Residence Summerfield, FL; formerly of Montgomery, OH.

Joe was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was founder and operator of ACN.
As ACN became more successful, Joe became more involved in community activities.
He became a member of the area Chamber of Commerce and the local Rotary chapter. Based on his participation there, he was selected to serve on the Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired Board of Directors, where he shared his keen instinctive business insights & guidance.
Under his direction, ACN sponsored a combination "Customer Appreciation & Charity Golf Outing" in late August of 1994 & 1995. Held at the prestigious Becket Ridge Country Club, it was one of the area's premier such events. Attended by customers, suppliers, business associates, executives and local officials, with celebrity guests from the Cincinnati Bengals, the lavish affair raised tens of thousands of dollars for Clovernook each year. It as well as increased public awareness of their services.
Joe's corporate & personal contributions indeed made a significant community impact.

Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford, OH on Sunday July 8th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral service with military honors will be held at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Chapel , 11000 Montgomery Road, Montgomery, OH at 11:00 AM on Monday July 9, 2018. Memorial contributions may be given to SEM HAVEN Health Care Center, 225 Cleveland Ave., Milford, OH 45150.
