Mandy Jane Wallace, 49, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Cincinnati June 1, 2019, after a
courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 9, 1969, in Euclid, Ohio to Raymond and Nancy
(Fleury) Cook. She was a 1988 graduate of Madison High School, Madison, Ohio. She earned her
bachelor's degree in education in 1992 from Xavier University. She later earned her Master's degree in
education from Marygrove College in Michigan.
Mandy married Christopher J Wallace August 14, 2008 in Milford, Ohio. Mandy was a beloved teacher
to many students. She first started teaching English literature at Clermont Northeast High School. She
then continued at Northwest High School. Mandy then joined the Great Oaks School System, first
teaching at Diamond Oaks and finishing at Live Oaks Vocational School. She touched many young lives
and minds during her career as a teacher. Mandy was also a previous member of Eastern Star.
Mandy had two beautiful children. Shane was born January 23, 2007 and Peyton was born May 9, 2009.
She loved her children very much and they were the light of her life.
Mandy was proceeded in death by her Grandmother Irene and Grandfather Willie Cook, Grandfather
Vernon S. Fleury and her Great Aunt Ruth (Fleury) Phillips. She is survived by her husband, Christopher J Wallace; children Shane and Peyton Wallace; her parents Raymond and Nancy (Fleury) Cook of Madison (Lake County); sister Jennifer K (Cook) and Joel Solly of Madison (Lake County); Christine (Cook) Spring of Madison (Lake County); mother-in-law Gladys Wallace of Milford; grandmother Erma T (Burgess) Fleury of North Tonwanda, NY; numerous aunts and uncles; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday, June 4th, from 6-8pm at Evans Funeral Home 741 Center Street, Milford, Ohio 45150. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 5th at 10am at St. Andrews Catholic Church 552 Main Street, Milford, Ohio 45150.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati and Care Connections for their loving care of our
Mandy. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to set up a scholarship fund for Great Oaks
students in Mandy's honor.
