Mary Esteva "Stevie" McAninch, age 87, of Blanchester, passed surrounded by her loving family Friday, October 27, 2017. She was born October 10, 1930 in Bethel Ridge of Casey County, Kentucky the daughter of Curtis Clay and Mary Alta (nee Haggard) Godbey. On June 16, 1952 she married Marion Dayton McAinch. She was employed at G.E. in Cincinnati until 1960 until she and her husband moved "to the country" in Wayne Township. Then she became a full time homemaker raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as the years went by, along with raising her garden, canning hundreds of green beans, other vegtables and fruits. "Mamaw" as many lovingly called her; always had a smile, time to talk with you and most often a piece of pie or desert to offer. She was truely a "one of kind" lady and you didn't stay a stranger with her for long. Many family members cherish her handmade quilts. On January 29, 1992 her husband Dayton preceded her in death as did their son, Greg, at an early age. She is survived by her daughters and spouses; Denise & Jimmy Burke, Renae & Aaron Bick, grandchildren; Mikie (Jessica) Lanham, Sylas (Ashly) Johnson, Shawn (Jamie) Burke, Sheila Fein, Amber Bick, great-grandchildren Mariah Lanham, MaKayla Lanham, Brooklynn Johnson, Miranda Keith, Jillian Burke, Shelby Fein and Dakota Fein, sister-in-law; Bev Godbey and brother-in-law; Gary Holmes. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Verthel (Maxine) Godbey, Janet (Tom) Davis, Dacel Godbey and Wanda Holmes. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Evans Funeral Home, 1944 St. Rt. 28, Goshen. Burial will follow in the Edenton Cemetery. Family and friends may visit 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials in her honor may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263
