Shell, MaryJane, beloved sister, devoted daughter and faithful friend passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the age of 58. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert J. Shell and Mary Jane Shell. MaryJane will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Molly Ann Shell, and her dog, Baby Bella.
MaryJane graduated in 1978 from Glen Este High School and in 2003 from the University of Cincinnati with a Master in Business Administration. She worked full time at Anthem Blue Cross Shield for 40 years and part-time at McAlpin's/Dillards for 19 years.
Travel, shopping and reading were MaryJane's favorite pastimes. She had a special place in her heart for Charleston, SC, and Gatlinburg, TN. She loved shopping at outlet malls, craft shows and Pigeon Forge, TN. An avid reader, her favorites were Harry Potter, Twilight and Riverdale.
MaryJane had a compassionate heart. She was an animal activist, volunteering at the League for Animal Welfare and adopting both of her pet babies from shelters. Many friends and coworkers found encouragement and support in MaryJane, especially those who were also experiencing medical problems.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of MaryJane on Friday March 1st, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas More Church (800 Ohio Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45245).Visiation will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (11000 Montgomery Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45219). We will gather to celebrate her life at her beloved sister, Molly Shell's, house (943 Forest Ave. Milford 45150) following interment.
