Mildred Louise Williamson (nee Baker), 91 years old, died Wednesday, September 8, 2020 of natural causes.
Mildred was born at home in a log cabin to Sarah Ann Baker in Bledsoe, Kentucky on October 27, 1928. She lived in the mountains of Harlan, Kentucky and had a hard life during the depression. She lived in a log cabin remote in the mountains until such time that she was selected to attend a boarding school in Leslie County called Redbird Boarding School at the early age of fourteen (14). She attended Redbird for two (2) years and returned to Harlan Kentucky where she graduated high school at Loyal High School in Leslie County Kentucky.
She married Sidney Williamson and together they raised five (5) children: Tonia Snell (nee Williamson), Michael Lee Williamson, Jayne Lynn Williamson, David Leslie Williamson, and Elizabeth Anne Jackson (nee Williamson).
Mildred, mother of five (5) was also grand-mother to fourteen (14) grand-children and eighteen (18) great-grandchildren and LOVED each and every one of them.
She worked at Christ Hospital for seventeen (17) years and provided home care to elderly patients until the mid-to-late 90s and retired. She loved her work caring for elderly and disabled 'folks' as she called them because all of her patients were loved by her.
Mildred was a strong genuine woman who shared her faith in God to EVERYONE and took her children to church every Sunday. She witnessed her faith to everyone she knew or met.
Her interests included family, gardening, sewing and reading the Bible. She devoted much of her time studying the Scriptures and sharing her faith. She also cooked the BEST cornbread!

Funeral Services will be held at Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center St., Milford, Ohio Saturday, September 12th, from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pierce Township Cemetery.
