Sheila K. Fraley (nee Adkins), age 74, went home to be with her Lord Jesus in the quiet of the morning on Saturday, April 17, 2021. In her final days, she was surrounded by those who loved her deeply. She was a high school graduate of Bob Jones Academy in Greenville, South Carolina as well as the Larry Moore School Of Hair Design in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sheila devoted her time to caring for her family. She showed her love through countless homemade meals, hair cuts, arm rubs, makeovers, maintaining a beautiful cozy home for her family, and spoiling her grandchildren with sweet treats. Sheila had many interests including supporting Zola Levitt Ministries, planting trees in Israel, planning many annual family vacations, sewing and embroidery, listening to both classical and contemporary music, film, cooking, making holidays memorable, attending family reunions, and especially creating scrapbooks of memories for her children and grandchildren.
A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Preceded in death by her father Emmet Adkins, a decorated WWII veteran, and Loree S. Adkins. Survived by her husband of 54 years, David R. Fraley, her three daughters, Dara Elaine Fraley, Melanie Dawn (Monty) Orcutt and Loree Beth F. (Jeff) Sowards, her five grandchildren, Mack Orcutt, Makenna Orcutt, Megan Orcutt, Lincoln Sowards and Franklin Sowards, her dear sister Marcia Ard, as well as loving nieces, nephews and many cousins. A memorial graveside service was held at Mill Springs National Cemetery, in Nancy, Kentucky, on Monday, April 26th at 2:30 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Mission Baptist Church, 7595 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45236, on Thursday, May 13th at 5 PM with a reception of food and fellowship following at 6 PM.
