Barbara M. Gerwe

Barbara Mary Gerwe, beloved wife for 67 years to Richard Gerwe, devoted mother of Jerry (Cheryl) Gerwe, Sue (Marty) Brunk, Ken (Judy) Gerwe, Dave (Deidra) Gerwe, Mark (Marla) Gerwe, Steve (Margie) Gerwe and Lisa (Bill) Branzel. Loving grandmother to 26 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Dear sister to Joe (Bitsy) Hrack and Robert Hrack, Larry Gerwe and Rosemary Gerwe. She was preceded in death by sister Pauline (Don) Mayhall, Margaret (Al) Connors and Charlotte Marsh. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews and devoted cousin to many cousins.

Barbara passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at the age 85, at Twin Lakes in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born in Cleveland, OH. She was a graduate from University of Cincinnati Clermont County with an associate degree. She worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance where she retired after over 25 years of service. Barbara was very active in her retirement years. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. She volunteered at the Hamilton County Park system, Mercy Anderson Hospital and had a leading role in the Clermont County Right to Life. She enjoyed traveling and spent her winters in Florida.

Visitation will be Monday, March 27 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at John H. Evans Funeral Home 741 Center Street Milford, Ohio 45150. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, March 28, at 10:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton 5890 Buckwheat Road Milford, Ohio 45150. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
