Adele Louise Salerno

Adele L. Salerno, (nee Gombita), beloved best friend and wife of Thomas L. Salerno for 44 years. She taught and influenced many young women in 37 years of teaching chemistry and directing musicals at Mt. Notre Dame High School in Reading, Ohio, served as a chemistry test writer for the State of Ohio and the American Chemical Society and was choosen as a lay representative on the Lay Advisory Council for the U.S. Council of Bishops. Adele is survived by her husband, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of loving friends. Surrounded by her family and friends, she peacefully went to join her Lord and Savior on September 8, 2016 at the age of 81 years. She was a resident of Milford, Ohio. Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Milford on Sunday, September 18th from 4-6 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church on Monday, Sept. 19th beginning at 10 AM. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in her name to Mt. Notre Dame High School.
