Aldo W. Castrucci Jr. died peacefully surrounded by family on February 21, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Al was married 58 years to his beloved wife Mildred Faye Castrucci (nee Williams). He is survived by his sons Stephen A. Castrucci (Laura Ratliff), James T. Castrucci (Melissa Abrams), John A. Castrucci (Jennifer DeJaco), William E. Castrucci, Michael A. Castrucci (Milissa Couzins), and Matthew A. Castrucci (Marianne Alf) all of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, he leaves behind his brother George Castrucci of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Al has 14 grandchildren: Joseph Castrucci, Sandra Castrucci Fultz, Blake Castrucci (Victoria), Jill Castrucci Corbett (Brian), Benjamin Castrucci, Tyler Castrucci (Molly), Christopher Castrucci, Ryan Castrucci, Tony Castrucci, Elizabeth Castrucci, Caroline Castrucci, Grace Castrucci, Rowan Castrucci and Matthew Castrucci Jr. He has 19 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Aldo and Georgia, brother Robert J.Castrucci, son David R. Castrucci and grandson Adam J. Castrucci.
Al was born on September 22, 1928. He attended Holy Name School and Roger Bacon High School (45). Immediately following his high school graduation, at the age of 17, Al joined the United States Navy and is a World War II veteran. After completing his military service he attended and graduated from the Veterans Vocational Trade School in Cincinnati, Ohio. This training began his long career in automotive.
Al worked for the Ford Motor Company as a Field Service Engineer and District Manager in the Cincinnati District. Al ultimately went to work for a large auto dealer, Fred Beasley. Mr. Beasley partnered with Al in Downtown Lincoln Mercury on Reading Road in Cincinnati. Al is the founder of Castrucci Automotive. The family business that Al began, continues to this day and spans upon much of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky.
In his retirement, Al enjoyed traveling the world with his best friend Faye. They went on many around the world cruises and visited every continent of the world. He had many hobbies throughout his life including woodworking, gardening, boating and fishing. He was a dedicated and trusted husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be missed dearly.
The family will receive friends at St. Gertrude Parish Center, 6543 Miami Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45243, on Friday, Feb. 28th from 11:30 AM until the time for the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
