Alvin R. Curless

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alvin Russell Curless on June 21, 2025, at the age of 84. Alvin was born on February 6, 1941, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late William and Florence (nee Mullen) Curless.

Alvin found immense joy in the great outdoors. He had a passion for landscaping, transforming yards into beautiful sanctuaries. Whether he was grilling with loved ones, casting a line while fishing, or spending nights under the stars while camping, he relished every moment spent outside. Alvin was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds. He also enjoyed bowling.

Alvin was the devoted husband to the late Judy G. (nee Maushart) Curless; Loving father of Cynthia Curless and Matt (Brandi) Curless; Cherished grandfather of Tayvin Curless, Asher Curless, Finley Curless, Garrett Calton, and Ryker Calton.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Alvin's life on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home - 741 Center St, Milford, Oh 45150. All are welcome to come dressed in Alvin's signature attire of a ball cap, plaid shirt, and blue jeans. Scattering of remains will take place following the service at 12:00 PM at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
