Alvin Ray Merkel, beloved companion of Pam Hunter; devoted father to Laura Pagano, Lisa Geurts, and Chris Hunter; cherished grandfather of Bram, Peer, Elsa, Maggie, and Jacob; dear brother of Terry (Mary Lou) Merkel, Anna Jean (Harles) Lambert, James Allen (Donna) Merkel, and Robert B. Merkel; and loved by many nieces and nephews, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the age of 66. Alvin was a life-long resident of Cincinnati. Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio. Following the service, interment will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Union Township, Ohio.
