Amanda Lynne Chowning passed away on May 25, 2021 at the age of 36. She died in Cincinnati, Ohio of complications of Covid-19. She was an organ donor and gave the gift of life to many individuals. She was the wife of Antony Miller and they were married for 13 years and were blessed to have three young boys, Jack, Noah, and Caleb.
Amanda was born in Mariemont, Ohio. She was the daughter of Lori (Mosteller) Chowning and Steve Chowning. She had two brother Nick Chowning and his wife Megan (Poff) Chowning and Ryan Chowning. Amanda came from a very large family and is survived by her grandparents, John and Shirley (McBride)Mosteller, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly. Amanda attended Milford High School and received her college degree and teaching certificate at The University of Cincinnati. She was a teacher/intervention specialist at Trojan Way High School in North College Hill. Amanda was an avid reader and dedicated teacher who loved to watch the Golden Girls. Most of all she loved spending time with her boys whether it be Nerf Wars, crafting, or playing board games.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held for Amanda Lynne Chowning on Tuesday June1, 2021 at the Loveland Presbyterian Church, located at 6796 Loveland-Miamiville Road Loveland, OH 45140 at 11:00 am. There will not be a visitation as Amanda was cremated. There will be a short service, followed by a Celebration of Life with buffet lunch. Please dress casual as Amanda hated to dress up. Amanda was a beloved special education teacher/intervention specialist and avid reader, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you bring a backpack full of school supplies and or a book to donate in her honor.
