Angela Gail Johnson

Angela Gail Johnson of Milford passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023 at the age of 73 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. "Angi" as she was known to her family and friends was born on October 30, 1950 to Lacy and Elva Greer.

Angi attended Reading High School and graduated in the class of 1969. On June 9, 1973, she married the late James L. Johnson II and gave birth to their only child, Suzanne (Johnson) Ditchen in 1977.

Later in life, Angi graduated from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. During her tenure at Jewish Hospital, she worked on the oncology floor and assisted with opening the bone marrow transplant unit. Angi eventually made the switch to working with patients of all walks of life as a home care nurse and rose to the title of Executive Vice President of Clinical Services at the Visiting Nurse Association.

Despite her successful career, her joys in life were her daughter and her grandchildren. Angi loved taking frequent shopping trips, visits to the Cincinnati Zoo and attending theatrical productions at the Aronoff and Playhouse in the Park with her family. She was a regular volunteer at Milford Christian Academy just so she could spend as much time with the grandchildren as possible. She also enjoyed singing at her church and traveling with her family.

Angi was preceded in death by her father the late Lacy L. Greer. She is survived by her mother Elva (Hargis) Greer of Loveland and her daughter Suzanne (Philip) Ditchen of Milford. Her brothers Darius (Loretta) Greer of Indianapolis, and Rev Joel (Sonya) Greer of Loveland. Uncles Kenneth (Pat) Hargis of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Denton Hargis of Milford. Grandchildren Emma Ditchen, Elena Ditchen, Julianne Ditchen and Jonah Ditchen all of Milford.

Visitation and Funeral will be held at First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio where she was a long time member. Visitation will be Monday, November 20,2023 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 10am.
