April Dawn Robbins, aged 78, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. Born on January 12, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Elmer and Lorena Barbour. April’s bright spirit illuminated the lives of all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Anderson High School in 1965, April attended Cumberland College in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she sparked a lifelong love affair with her college sweetheart and future husband, Jack Robbins. Their 57 years of marriage exemplify a bond marked by love, devotion, and shared dreams.
Throughout her career, April made her mark in zoning enforcement, contributing significantly to her community both in Goshen, Ohio, and Louisville, Kentucky. Yet, her truest joy came from her family. April embraced every holiday and family gathering with boundless enthusiasm, her presence felt like a ray of sunshine that warmed the hearts of those around her.
April found happiness in the simple things: planting flowers in her garden and crafting beautiful landscapes were sources of comfort and accomplishment for her. She embodied strength of character, displaying honesty, kindness, loyalty, and empathy in every aspect of her life. A devoted follower of her faith, she exemplified the principles of love and compassion taught by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and shared these values with her loved ones.
As a mother and grandmother, April was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make her boys feel special and cherished, gracefully navigating the joys and challenges of raising four lively sons. As a beloved Nana, she embraced her grandchildren with open arms, filling their lives with warmth and laughter. Her commitment to her friends and family was unwavering; she found her greatest joy in making others happy.
April's legacy of love, family, and faith will forever remain in our hearts. Her laughter and kindness will be greatly missed, but those who knew her carry her spirit within them.
April is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Lorena Barbour, her Husband Jack Howard Robbins, her sister Paula Lynn Glass and her oldest son Tracy Spencer Robbins. April is survived by her three sons, Adam Douglas, Joshua Seth and Yale Cooper Robbins. Her daughter-n-law Jamie Robbins, Her Brother, Chuck Barbour, her Grandchildren Spencer Douglas, Nathan Howard, Natalie Shea, Nicholas Grant and Téa Bella Robbins.
Family and friends will gather to honor April at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on August 9, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest shortly after at Goshen Cemetery.
