Arnold James Smith, Sr.

Arnold “Jimmy” Smith Sr., was born on February 19, 1969, to Arnold E. and Jewell (nee Moore) Smith in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jimmy was the loving father of three children: Corey M. Smith, Christina M. Smith, and Arnold J. Smith Jr. Cherished grandfather of Julian, Ollie, and Kaylynn; Dear brother of Harold (Rebecca) Smith and Brenda Krimmer; cherished nephew of Gary Moore, Doug Moore, Lonnie Moore, and Ada Harbers. Jimmy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Jimmy was an outgoing person who could light up any room he walked into. He never met a stranger, and everyone loved him instantly. Jimmy enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and would often visit the Edgewater Racetrack to drag his Dodge Challenger. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2222. Jimmy loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family. He would check in on his parents Arnold and Jewell daily just to make sure they were doing okay. Jimmy had a heart of gold. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

Jimmy passed away suddenly on January 6, 2024, at the age of 54. Resident of Blanchester, OH. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM until the time of service at 8:00 PM. Visitation and services will be held at Evans Funeral Home – 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122. Burial will be held the next day, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Graceland Memorial Gardens. Family and friends can meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to participate in the procession to the cemetery.
