It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Jean Jones, aged 85, who went to be united with her husband of 64 years, Donald E. Jones Sr., on January 7, 2026 . Born on June 7, 1940, in Lockland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Archie and Thelma (nee Carter) Woods. Jeannie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and community.
A beloved housewife, Jeannie poured her heart into raising her children: the late Donald Jones Jr., Ron Jones, Yvette Gibbons and Connie Snider. She cherished her role as a mother and was a proud grandmother, celebrating every milestone and joy with her grandchildren. She is remembered fondly for the simple joys she found in life-swinging on the front porch with her husband, sharing moments of tranquility and contentment.
Jeannie was a long-time member of the Eagles Auxiliary #2222, where she formed cherished friendships and was honored to be recognized as "Mother of the Year". She was active in the local Red Hat Club.
An avid fan of the great outdoors, Jeannie loved camping and cherished the yearly trips to Myrtle Beach and other destinations with close friends, where laughter and memories were made. Known for her incredible baking skills, she created many wedding cakes that celebrate love and unity, bringing joy to countless families.
Her warmth, strength, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
