It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara Anne Sabo, who left this world peacefully on October 2, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on July 3, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, Barbara spent her later years in Cincinnati, where she established herself as a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and community advocate.
Barbara was a nurturing mother to seven children and embraced her roles as a grandmother and great-grandmother with unwavering love and dedication. Her family was the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent together. Her creative spirit found expression in her love for gardening and the arts, where she derived joy from both cultivating beauty in her surroundings and leaving a lasting impact on those around her.
A passionate advocate for women's empowerment, Barbara dedicated much of her professional life to the YWCA, where she worked tirelessly to help women find their paths. Her compassion and commitment to service inspired many and will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
A celebration of Barbara's remarkable life will take place at the Mariemont Care Center, with details to follow. As we gather to honor her legacy and the enduring love she shared, we invite all who knew her to join in this remembrance.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to ywcacincinnati.org in her memory, continuing her mission of helping others and uplifting the community she cherished so deeply.
