Beatrice Rose Dragoo

Beatrice Rose Smith-Dragoo age 87 of Lake Lorlei in Brown County, passed Wednesday afternoon at her residence. She was born November 22, 1928 in Lawrenceville, Illinois the daughter of George and Elsie Gibson McFarland. Her husband of 50 years, Ralph E. Smith preceded her in death in 1996 and in 2004 she married Don Dragoo who also preceeed her in death. She was a cashier for the former A & P Grocery, spent many years as a cashier for the Kroger Company in TriCounty and West Chester and also was a teller at the Star Bank in Landon. She is survived by her children and spouses, Sheryl and Mike Washburn, Gregg and Diane Smith, Terri and Steve Beck, and Kerri and Dennis Gilligan, 11 grandchildren; Kelly, Matthew, Emily, Jenna, Jamie, Erin, Nicole, Ben, Ryan, Stephanie and Alex, and preceded in death by her brother, Lowell McFarland. Services will be 1:30 PM Saturday, June11, 2016 at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford, with visitation from noon until the time of service. J.L. Runk will officiate. A graveside service will take place in her hometown of Lawrenceville, Illinois at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Her family requests memorials to be made to the Crossroads Hospice, 4380 Glendale-Milford Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45242.
