Bethel Ratliff

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bethel Ratliff, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend. Born on October 30, 1934, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to the late Kelly Ratliff and Roberta Harvey. Bethel left us peacefully on September 7, 2025, at the age of 90.

Bethel's true legacy lies in the love she shared with her family and friends. She adored her children and grandchildren more than anything else. Bethel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She adored gardening, painting, baking, and immersing herself in the pages of her favorite books. With a passion for music, she delighted in singing in her church choir and often filled her home with the sounds of her favorite artists, including Lynyrd Skynyrd and Eric Clapton.

Bethel was known for her warmth and outgoing spirit. Her friends and family will remember her for her infectious laughter, her meticulous attention to her appearance, and her genuine kindness. She effortlessly lit up a room and left lasting impressions with her humor and compassion.

Bethel was the loving mother of Debra Jean (Steve) Miniard, Michael Kelly (Cindy) Ratliff, Rebecca Ann Encinias, and the late Daniel Clyde Ratliff; Cherished grandmother of Scott Kyle (Maria) Gierach, Shaun Robert Gierach, Michael Francis Kelly (Jarlyn) Ratliff, Victoria Anne (Ronald) Encinias, Justin Wayne Stirsman, and Megan Elizabeth Miniard; Great-grandmother of Jackson Pierce Gierach, Charles Wade Gierach, Henry Chase Gierach, Alyssa Stirsman, Cohen Michael Jay Ratliff, Daxton Thenot, and Ensley Shea Thenot.

Along with her parents and son, Bethel is preceded in death by all nine of your siblings.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family
