Bette M. Paul

Bette M. Paul age 96, living in Batavia for 84 years, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at the Atlantes in Union Township. She was born March 26, 1923 in Cincinnati the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. C.J. McCloy. Bette was a graduate of Batavia High School and an officer of the Batavia Alumni Association, the former Batavia Village Clerk for 18 years and had an 80 year membership with the American Legion Auxiliary. Bette was very active in the community; being a member of Clermont County Homemakers, Clermont County Mercy Hospital Guild Volunteers, the Holy Trinity Church in Batavia and still had time to be a Brownie Leader and a 4H advisor. She is the loving mother of Penny (Ron) Balzhiser, Jennifer (Alan) VanHook, Steve (Kathy) Paul, Gina (Chuck) Canada-Games and Kim (Tom) Paul-Prindle, loving grandmother of 14 and great grandmother of 25, soon to be 26. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother; Carter J. (Dean) McCloy. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Holy Trinity Church, 140 North 6th St. Batavia, Ohio 45103 with visitation on Thursday, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford. Rev. Tim Scherer will celebrate the Mass and burial will follow in the Batavia Union Cemetery. Her family requests memorials in her memory be made to the Batavia Alumni Association Scholarship Fund, 1 Bulldog Place, Batavia, OH 45103 or the Heartland Hospice, 3960 Red Bank Rd. #140, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
