Betty Ruth Craig

Betty Ruth Craig, a dedicated registered nurse, peacefully passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on December 14, 1931, in Ohio to Grace and Henry Meinshatt. Betty's life was marked by compassion, dedication, and service to others. Her legacy as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Having graduated from the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in 1954 and Chatfield College in 1988, Betty pursued a fulfilling career as a nurse at the Cincinnati V.A. Medical Center, touching the lives of countless individuals over 25 years of service. Her impact extended beyond her professional duties, as she dedicated her time to volunteer work at Hospice, Meals on Wheels, and nurturing young minds as a Sunday school teacher and summer camp nurse.

Betty's memory will forever be cherished by her loving daughters: Brenda Sue (Bud) Sams, Kay (Vincent) Hill, Laura Craig, and Lisa (Gregory) Bauer. She also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Betty's spirit of generosity, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Dayton, Hospice of Dayton, or any other charitable organization, reflecting Betty's lifelong commitment to caring for those in need.

Betty's legacy of love, kindness, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered for the light she brought into the lives of others. May she rest in eternal peace.

Betty was preceded in death by: Robert Craig, Henry Meinshatt, Grace Meinshatt and Kenneth Meinshatt.

The family will receive friends Friday June 21, 2024 12:30 - 1:30 PM at Evans Funeral Home 741 Center St. Milford, OH with service at 1:30 PM
