Betty J. Deweese

Betty Joann Deweese, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on April 3, 1934, in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, to the late Audi and Margaret (nee Montgomery) Quinn. Betty's journey through life was marked by her unwavering love for family and her deep-rooted faith in Christianity.

Betty was the beloved wife of 60 years to her late husband Paul E. DeWeese; Loving mother of Karen (late George) Bartosik, Kimberly DeWeese-Brown, Kyle (Jasen) DeWeese, Mark DeWeese, Katrina Kaltenbach, and the late Michael DeWeese; Cherished mamaw of 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Betty was a true embodiment of warmth and kindness. She dedicated her life to nurturing her family and was known for her ability to bring loved ones together. Family picnics, camping trips, and holiday gatherings were central to her life; she cherished these moments and sought to create lasting memories with those she held dear. Betty never met a stranger, extending her maternal affection beyond her immediate family to all who crossed her path, earning her the distinction of a mom-like figure to many.

An active member of her community, Betty found great joy in her faith. She was a faithful Christian who found strength and solace in reading her Bible, and she delighted in playing Bible bingo, a game in which she truly excelled. Throughout her life, Betty's love for crafts and reading was evident, as she always sought to express her creativity and expand her knowledge.

Having resided in Goshen, Ohio, for 36 years, Betty also spent 22 years in Florida before returning to the Goshen area. Her roots in the community left an indelible mark, and her spirit will long be remembered by those who had the honor of knowing her.

Betty will be honored during a funeral service at Evans Funeral Home in Milford, Ohio, on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A visitation will be held prior, beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
