With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Lou Hausman on November 16, 2024, at the age of 87. She was born on October 10, 1937, in Corbin, KY, to the late John Wesley and Bessie Pearl (nee Kinser) Bennett. Betty was a beloved mother and cherished grandmother. Her kind and generous spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Betty was the beloved wife of 43 years to the late Charles F. Hausman; Loving mother of Sherry E. (Dan) Matthews, Mark A. (Kimberley) Hausman, Leah H. (Tim) Miller, and the late Wesley F. Hausman; Cherished grandma of Matthew (Malin) Hamilton, Nicholas (MaryAlice) Hamilton, Daniel Hamilton, Bennett Wesley Hausman, Clinton Hausman, Elizabeth Hausman, Ethan Pettigrew, Sophia Pettigrew, and Mia Pettigrew; Great-grandma of Judah Hamilton; Sister of Joyce Bradley and the late Charlene Pickard.
Betty's warm personality and welcoming nature meant she never met a stranger. Her giving heart and caring demeanor endeared her to many. She found joy in taking care of others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. An opinionated soul, Betty expressed herself openly and authentically.
Betty found solace and creativity in sewing and quilting. She also found comfort in the pages of a good book and spent many hours engrossed in reading. A sports enthusiast, Betty was a devoted Cincinnati Reds fan and loved watching basketball, cheering on the UK Wildcats, UC Bearcats, and Xavier Musketeers.
Her loyal companion, Ginger, her beloved dog, brought her endless happiness and held a special place in her heart.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home - 741 Center St, Milford, OH 45150. A graveside service will follow beginning at 12:30 PM at Graceland Memorial Gardens - 5989 Deerfield Rd, Milford, OH 45150.
