It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Roberts, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who left us on October 9, 2026, at the age of 94. Betty was born on August 6, 1932, in Cincinnati, Ohio to John and Eunice Grimes.

She is survived by her children: Gayle Buder (the late Robert), Marvin Hopkins (the late Mary Ann), and Karen Graves (Berl). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Sherri Smith, Megan Carter, and Ashley Smith, as well as her great-grandchildren: Marshall Raley, Mackena Carter, Lincoln Smith, and Noah Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Eunice, her daughter, Marilyn Hopkins, her siblings Dorothy Hopkins, and John Grimes, and her late friend, Marvin Hopkins.

Betty's spirit was vibrant and full of life. She found joy in reading, shopping, and the thrill of bingo nights with friends and family. Her warmth and laughter brightened all the lives she touched, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 15th, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home in Milford from 11am-12pm. A Graveside service will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery at 12pm. Family and friends are invited to gather to commemorate her vibrant life and to share cherished memories.
