Betty Thompson-Baston

September 23, 1932 — January 18, 2026

Betty J. Thompson (Baston), née Siebert, age 93, of Goshen, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born on September 23, 1932, to Harry and Erva Siebert. She graduated from Clermont Northeastern High School in 1951. During her school years, she was a roller derby enthusiast at the White Gables Skating Rink in Goshen, Ohio, a pastime that reflected her adventurous nature.

After winning the lottery with her husband, Ralph Thompson, Betty retired from Keebler in 1985. It was at Keebler that she met two of her dearest friends, Sue Schwaeble and Peggy Terwilleger. The three became fast friends in 1962 and remained close throughout the years, sharing a bond that lasted until Betty's passing.

Following her retirement, Betty embraced life as a snowbird, spending her winters vacationing in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine and relaxation she so well deserved.

Betty was also a devout Christian who attended Solid Rock Church. The Lord was her Savior, and her family takes great comfort in knowing that Betty is now walking with Jesus.

Betty loved life and made sure everyone around her knew it. She adored her family, enjoyed eating out, loved to travel, and was always ready for the next adventure. Above all else, Betty's greatest joy was her family. Anyone who walked through the door was immediately greeted with her vivacious smile.

Betty loved seeing the world and never passed up an opportunity for a new adventure, especially if it involved shopping along the way. If there was a new purse to buy or a new pair of shoes to bring home, Betty was all in. Her laughter, warmth, and zest for life were contagious, and she leaves behind countless memories filled with love, joy, and just a little bit of sparkle.

Betty is survived by her sons, Russ (Kim) Thompson and Ken (Debi) Thompson; her grandchildren, Robin (Jeff) Clift, Stephen (Rachel) Thompson, Stacy (Nathan) Jarman, Kenny (Chelsea) Thompson, Austin Thompson; her great-grandkids, Kelsey Clift, J.C.
