Askren, Billy Gene – Beloved husband of 65 years to Sonja Askren (nee Andersen); Devoted father of Douglas Allen, Gary Dean, Carol Jean Hernandez, and Thomas Joseph; Grandfather of Jason Christopher Denuccio, Raquella Denuccio, Elizabeth Rose, Riley Paige, and William Joseph; Son of the late Leroy Askren and the late Elizabeth Askren (nee Poe); Brother of the late Carroll Fay Askren (Jake); Billy was a United States Air Force Veteran who served for 4 years. He was a Manager of Manufacturing at Heekin Can Company for 35 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, bird watching, gardening, and was a dog lover. Passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 age 88 years; Resident of Pinebrook in Milford; Visitation will be at Evans Funeral Home – Milford 741 Center Street Milford, Ohio 45150, Tuesday July 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM until time of funeral service at 6:00 PM. Pastor Dick Hess will be officiating. Military honors will be performed following the service.
