Bobby R. Bailey

April 3, 1943 — September 4, 2024

Bobby Ray Bailey, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and hardworking member of the community, passed away peacefully at Loveland Health Center on September 4, 2024. Born in Perry County, Kentucky on April 3, 1941, Bobby spent his life dedicated to his family, his work, and his passions.

During his 32 years at Sysco Food Service, Bobby exemplified loyalty and dedication, always ensuring that the job was done right. A proud member of the Teamsters, he was respected by colleagues and friends alike for his strong work ethic and reliability.

Aside from his professional life, Bobby found joy in the simplicity of life's pleasures. He adored spending time outdoors, whether he was hunting in the woods or casting his line into tranquil waters. His love for the great outdoors was matched only by his love for his family, particularly his wife of 52 years, Carolyn, and their children, Ray Bailey, Rhonda Bailey, Jeffrey Bailey, and Jennifer (Steve) Wilder, grandson Charlie Wilder, sister Mary (Steve) Smith, brother James (Carol) Bailey, and sister-in-law Jonelle Bailey.

When not working or enjoying nature, Bobby could often be found with his nose buried in a bible or engrossed in a gripping western novel. He had a profound respect for faith and enjoyed the moral lessons found in the pages of his beloved book.

A true aficionado of western films, Bobby found solace in the tales of cowboys and lawmen, where the values of honor and justice always prevailed. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering belief in doing what is right were evident in all aspects of his life.

Bobby Ray Bailey will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation is planned at Graceland Memorial Gardens, where loved ones can pay their respects on September 10, 2024, at 11:30 am, followed by a chapel service at 12:00 pm, where he will find eternal peace among the serenity he cherished in life.
