On a crisp autumn day in Batavia, Ohio, we mourn the loss of Bruce E. McCarty, a man of solid character and unwavering loyalty. Born in Cincinnati to William and Lois McCarty, Bruce found joy and purpose in simple pleasures like playing pool, fishing, and hunting. To him, there was nothing quite like a trip to Locust Grove for a hot dog or a leisurely drive through the countryside, soaking in the scenery.
A dedicated fan of the Bengals and Ohio State University football teams, Bruce's eyes lit up with excitement as he watched his favorite teams compete. He also had a unique passion for attending heavy metal concerts, enjoying the raw energy and music that filled the air.
As a roller in the asphalt industry, Bruce's hands were always at work, whether he was fixing cars, fine-tuning engines, or spending time with his grandson, Leo, whom he adored beyond measure.
In his quiet moments, Bruce found solace in the company of his family, including his son Joshua, daughter Celia, and brothers Martin (Mindy), Clayton, and Franklin. He cherished every moment spent with his siblings, nephews, and nieces - Zakk, Evan, Sage, Carter, and Klohie. Through his love and care, Bruce leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness that will forever be remembered.
A celebration of Bruce's life will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 2:00PM in the Evans Funeral Home, Milford. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor his memory as they reflect on the impact, he had on all those around him one hour prior to services. May his spirit guide us through this time of grief and may the memories we shared with him bring comfort to our hearts.
Bruce was preceded in death by: father William McCarty, brother Chris McCarty.
