CRAVER, Carol June (nee Gaddis). Born in Corbin, KY May 22, 1937. Died peacefully at home in Milford, OH March 22, 2021. Survived by children Terrie (Pat) McGoron, Jeff (Kelley), Dan (Dena), and Jim (Melissa). Grandchildren Joshua (Amy), Melanie (Gary), Lucy (Alex), Andrew, Jessie, Cheryl, Sarah, Victoria (Chris), Ryder, Davena, Poppi, Will, and Carson, plus 15 great-grandchildren. Sisters Irene Tackett, Wilma Johnson, and Sandra Bays, and numerous nieces and nephews. Reunited in the hereafter with her husband of 59 years, Patrick, who passed just a short six weeks prior; parents C.A. and Lillie Mae Gaddis; brothers Howard, Lloyd, and Wayne Gaddis; sisters Helen Prince, Lola Gaddis, Evelyn Grey, and Darlene Poore.
Carol was well known for her great country cooking and mouth-watering desserts, particularly her pies which were famous in several states (especially the coconut crme). She never met a stranger and gathered people around her constantly, with an uncanny knack for making them feel at ease in every conversation due to her genuine concern and care.
The family will receive visitors at John H. Evans Funeral Home, 741 Center Street, Milford OH 45150, on Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Batavia, OH on Monday, March 29, 2021, at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for a memorial bench to preserve Carol's legacy in the community. Please contact any family member for specific information.
