It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Farley (nee Conrad), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world on July 21, 2026. Born on June 28, 1935, in Cynthiana, Kentucky to Jack Conrad and Elizabeth Jane Hunt Conrad, Carol spent her life cherishing her family and nurturing her community.
Carol is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Lloyd M. Farley. Theirs was a partnership full of love, laughter, and devotion. Their bond was a foundation for our family, and a model of what true love looks like.
She leaves behind her cherished daughters, Cindy Farley and Becky Farley Doherty (Mike), who will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion. She is also survived by her grandson, Kyle McEvoy (partner Kristan Lynn Ellis and her daughter Iris Pearl Ellis), and granddaughter, Katy McEvoy (husband Robert Wallace). She was more than just a mother to Cindy and Becky, and a loving grandmother to Kyle and Katy--she was the heart of our family and a shining light in her community.
Carol always led with love and purpose. As a Girl Scout leader, she guided with patience and a sparkle in her eye. She found great joy in camping with friends and family, where memories were made around campfires, in folding chairs, and singing under the stars.
Carol was also a master with her hands and her heart: an expert seamstress, quilter, and crafter. Her creations were not just beautiful-they were stitched with love, precision, and years of care.
Carol was the one who got people together. The planner, the organizer, the social spark behind countless gatherings. She did not just attend events-she made them happen.
After dedicating many years to raising her family, Carol reentered the workforce as a secretary at Molloy Roofing. She quickly became a valued member of the team, known for her warm smile, positive attitude, and exceptional organizational skills. Her cheerful spirit and strong work ethic made a lasting impression on everyone she worked with, and she approached each day with kindness, professionalism, and a genuine willingness to help others.
At Harbor Cove in North Port Florida, her retirement community for many years, she was active in many groups, such as the Grandmothers Club, the Quilters, and the Singles. Through it all, she was a strong, steady, and generous neighbor and member of her community.
While we mourn our loss, we celebrate the remarkable and beloved Carol Farley. A woman of grace, resilience, warmth, and creativity.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Evans Funeral Home in Milford (741 Center Street), followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
