Carol Ann Heusner

Carol Ann Heusner (nee Theiss) passed away on November 26, 2023.

Carol was born on December 31, 1937 as one of seven children to Vernon and Hazel (nee Lee) Theiss.

Carol married Robert Heusner on June 19, 1965, he preceded her in death on December 18, 1999. Carol

graduated from Western Washington University for her undergraduate degree and later earned her

Master’s in Education. She taught English in Everett Washington and then on military bases in Germany

and Japan. Carol was also a librarian at Xavier University and later volunteered at Milford Public Library.

Carol is survived by her children; Gary Heusner and Joanne (Doug) Smith. Grandchildren; Kyle (Maddie)

Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Walter Jacob Sedlacek III, Nicholas Ronald Sedlacek, Lily Heusner. Also survived by

her brother Jerry (Jane) Theiss and many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Carol would like memorial donations made to Toys for Tots, Planned Parenthood, or

Freestore Foodbank.

Services for Carol will be held privately by the family.
