Carol Ann Niehaus

Carol Ann Niehaus (nee Milleson) of Milford, Ohio, passed away on Thursday November 16, 2018 at her home. Beloved wife of John F. Niehaus ("Jack", deceased), devoted mother of Scott Niehaus (Lisa) and Stacey Malone (T. Scott). Favorite grandmother of Katherine, John and David Niehaus, and Jackson and Hampton Malone (who called her "GlamMa" because of her glamorous wardrobe). Loving sister to Claudia Brammer, Steven Milleson, Jenifer Alderman, John Milleson, and James Milleson, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a generous and unselfish person, a meticulous record-keeper, an aggressive investor, and notorious for punctuality. She was excellent-excellent-excellent. She loved her family, her independence, and visiting with friends. If you knew Carol, you loved Carol.

Carol was born at Fort Bliss in El Paso Texas to Juanita and Phillip Milleson during World War 2. They moved to Ironton, Ohio, and Carol lived there until high school graduation, when she moved to Cincinnati for nurses' training. That was when she met Jack and began the topsy-turvy roller coaster ride that is married life. Jack passed in 1984, and Carol became steadfast, like a rock, to minimize disruption in her children's lives. It wasn't always easy, and it wasn't always perfect, but it was always with her family's best interest in mind, and it was always with a good, pure heart. And, it was always appreciated.

After her retirement from over 20 years at Anthem, Carol kept busy with volunteer work, lively games with friends, watching her grandchildren's activities and confirming their schedules on the Internet. Prior to Anthem and other companies, Carol molded young minds as a teacher at Spring East Montessori School, which Scott and Stacey had attended. The kids all loved "Miss Carol", and she loved them. And prior to molding young minds, Carol worked as a registered nurse at Bethesda Oak, where she was originally trained as a nurse.

Visitation 6:00-8:00pm Monday November 26, 2018 at Evans Funeral Home in Milford. Funeral Services Tuesday November 27, 2018 at Evans at 10:00 am, followed by interment at St. Mary's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, send donations in Carol's name to Susan G Komen breast cancer foundation or Springs East Montessori School in Symmes Township.
