Caroline Gartner Moersdorf

Caroline Gartner Moersdorf was born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 29, 1929, to the late John and Anna (nee Krpata) Gartner. Loving mother of Gerry Moersdorf Jr. (Brenda Killian), Caryl (Robert) Pfeiffer, Bobbie (Dennis) Foy, and Betsy (Kip) Casada. Cherished grandmother of Gerry Moersdorf III, Anna Moersdorf, Emily (Ryan) Jacques, Katie (Jarrod) Slone, Andrea Pfeiffer (Drew Fink), James (Joe) Pfeiffer, Claire (Zach) Bryson, Natalie Foy (Jake Seifert), Ean Casada, and Abby Casada. Great-grandmother of Parker Jacques, Louise Pfeiffer, Sam Pfeiffer, Maddie Bryson, and Iggy Bryson. Caroline was preceded in death by her two siblings, Anne Pietrusiak and Larry Gartner.

Caroline grew up in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, and started her family in Oradell, NJ. The family moved to Terrace Park, OH, in 1967. Caroline was passionate about gardening. She was a member of the Terrace Park and Milford Garden Clubs, enjoying the camaraderie and commiseration of fellow gardeners. Caroline owned her own sewing business for many years and helped bring many people's needlepoint canvases to life. She was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

Caroline passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on June 20, 2023, at the age of 94, in Milford, Ohio.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park on November 18, 2023, at 1:30 PM. In place of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Cincinnati Hospice or St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Terrace Park.
