Carolyn F. Ennis, a devoted teacher, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at the age of 91 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on September 4, 1934, in Eminence, Kentucky, Carolyn lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passionate commitment to education.

As a dedicated educator, Carolyn inspired countless students throughout her career, sharing not only knowledge but also her enthusiasm for learning. Her gentle spirit and nurturing nature made a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.

Carolyn found joy in the simple pleasures that life offered. An avid reader, she spent countless hours immersed in books, discovering new worlds and ideas. Her love of nature, especially birds and animals, brought her peace and contentment, and she often remarked that there was no better sight than a bird in flight or a blossoming flower in her garden. In her younger years, gardening was a particular delight, where she cultivated not only plants but also a deep connection with the earth and the rhythm of life.

Family was the cornerstone of Carolyn's life. She was a devoted wife and she and Robert were married for 67 years. As a proud mother to her children, Holly Anne Young and Andy Ennis his wife Patricia, and a doting grandmother to Alex Ennis, Rory Souhrada, and Roman & Rebecca Young, her familial bonds were her most treasured legacy. A devoted sister throughout her life, she was the last of her siblings, carrying their memories and love in her heart. Carolyn also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember her with profound affection. Carolyn was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Mabel Fuller, and her husband Robert Calvert Ennis.

Following her wishes, Carolyn's remains will be cremated, her legacy of love, wisdom, and kindness will continue to thrive in the hearts of those she touched. Though we mourn the loss of Carolyn, we also celebrate a life well-lived-one filled with passion, dedication, and an unwavering love for family and nature. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
