Catherine Ann Bauer

Catherine A Bauer (nee Krantz), 90, died Sunday, June 25.2017 surrounded by her family, at her daughter's residence in Morrow. She was born July 31, 1926 in Owensville the daughter of Albert and Mamie (nee Barnickle) Krantz. Catherine and her husband, John, were owners of the the John Bauer and Associate Insurance Agency in Owensville until their retirement. Her husband of 63 years, John Wendel Bauer preceded her in death December 6, 2004. She is the loving mother of; Regina (Blane) Scarberry, Saul (Tammy) Bauer, David (Debbie) Bauer, Greg (Lisa) Bauer, Christina (Joe) Stamper, Tom (Barbara) Bauer, Carl (Linda) Bauer, Sr. Cathy Bauer, OSB, Mary (Butch) Mitchell, Fred (Marlene) Bauer, Joe (Carol) Bauer, Dan (Bonna) Bauer, Rodger (Jeanne) Bauer and late John (Mary Ellen) Bauer; grandmother of 52 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons, 6 step-grandchildren and 17 step-great-children; sister of Helen Quallen. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, John E. and grandson, Spc. Joseph A. Bauer, by her sisters Marie Crone, Agnes Brown, Mildred Sroufe, and brothers Fredrick and Lawrence Krantz. Mass of Christian Burial St. Louis Church, Owensville, Monday, July 3, 11:00 A.M. The Mass will be celebrated by her nephew, Reverend Pat Crone. Burial will follow in the St. Louis Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the Evans Funeral Home, Milford, Sunday, 2:30-4:30 P.M.
