Cathleen Mary O'Toole

Cathleen  Mary O'Toole, born on September 23, 1948, in Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at the age of 76. A beloved daughter, friend, and community member, Cathleen’s spirit will be deeply missed.

A proud alumna of the University of Akron and Kent State University, Cathleen pursued her education diligently, ultimately earning a master’s degree. Her professional journey led her to a fulfilling career as a Project Director at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, where she was known for her keen intellect and infectious sense of humor. Her quick wit brightened the workday for many, and her dedication to her craft gained her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Cathleen was not only committed to her profession but also to her faith and community. An active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, she enriched the lives of many through her music, singing in the choir, participating in the RCIA, and serving as a dedicated Eucharist minister. Her love for her church and community was matched only by her devotion to the Delta Gamma Sorority, where she nurtured lifelong friendships and supported her fellow sisters.

In celebration of her life and faith, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church on January 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM. All are welcome to join in honoring Cathleen’s remarkable journey and the indelible mark she leaves on our hearts. Cathleen will be laid to rest in her cherished hometown of Akron, Ohio in Holy Cross Cemetery next to her parents.

As we reflect on the life of Cathleen O'Toole, we remember her laughter, her kindness, and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
