Cathy Ann Books

Cathy Ann Books, a loving wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on March 24, 1951, in Wilmington Ohio, Cathy was a resident of Loveland, where she created a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter.

Cathy was married to the love of her life, Charles M. Books, in 1969, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion. As a mother, she was a guiding light to her children-Matthew (Kara) Books, Christal (Mark) Banks, and Rebekah (Paul) Smith. Her heart swelled with pride as she took joy in each moment with her beloved grandchildren, Peyton Banks, Grayce Banks, and Caleb Smith, whom she loved dearly.

A gifted pianist, Cathy shared her musical talents with her church community for over 50 years, bringing joy and inspiration to those around her. She was a woman of deep faith, unwavering in her commitment to her church and always ready to lend an ear to anyone in need. Her compassionate nature and genuine interest in others' well-being made her a treasured friend to many.

Cathy found delight in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family dinners, where she insisted everyone attend, knowing that the warmth of family gathered around the table was one of life's greatest treasures. Her love for nature was evident in her passion for planting flowers and spending quiet moments in her swing, appreciating the beauty of the world around her.

Known for her affectionate, gentle spirit, and her ability to listen intently, Cathy touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her. Her quiet demeanor harbored a subtle spark that lit up the lives of those around her, reminding us all to cherish each moment and connection.

Cathy Ann Books will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she enriched with her love and kindness.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on June 8, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the life of this extraordinary woman.
