It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Joseph Limberg, who left us on July 28, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on April 23, 1941, in Chicago, IL, Chuck, as he was fondly known, spent his life as a dedicated electrical engineer and executive, making a significant impact in the car audio speakers industry, notably serving as Vice President of Harman Automotive and President of Onkyo America. His career was marked by a passion for innovation and excellence, touching countless lives along the way.
Chuck was not just an accomplished professional; he was a loving husband to his wife, Kathy, a proud father to his daughter Dawn, son Brian with wife Aimee and a cherished grandfather to Michael, Kathryn, James, and Noelle. His family was the light of his life, and he took immense joy in watching his grandkids play sports and grow.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Chuck had a vibrant spirit and a range of interests. He enjoyed traveling, singing as part of the semi-professional choir "The Music Choral," in his early years, then became active in his parish choirs, worked on model trains, and became an avid "backyard" bird watcher. Whether he was feeding the birds in his backyard or boating and water skiing with his family, he lived life to the fullest-a true testament to his love for nature and adventure.
Chuck is also survived by his brother, Albert Limberg, who will carry fond memories of their time together.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton on August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, where friends and family are invited to celebrate his life and legacy. Prior to the Mass, there will be a visitation at the same location beginning at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Chuck will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at 12:30 PM.
