Charles "Ted" Ringwald, age 93, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at SEM Haven. He was born in 1924 in Tennessee the son of Ambrose and Hazel (nee Hartwig) Ringwald. During high school he became a double Eagle Boy Scout. Ted entered the Army Air Corp Program and at 20 was a WWII bomber Pilot and flew 18 European Missions. He served our country for 23 years rising to Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force. Upon his retirement, the family settled in Terrace Park. During his time in the Air Force, Ted married Vedah Lawson on March 6, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. His wife of 56 years preceded him in death, January 19, 2004 as did two of their sons, Gregory and Stephen Ringwald and his brother; Junie Ringwald. As a civilian, he worked 22 years with General Electric in Evendale. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Terrace Park and then converted to Catholicism and became a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Parish in Milford. Ted is survived by his children and spouses; Brandon & Tammy Ringwald, Jeffrey & Rhonda Ringwald, Charlesee & Kawika Cotner, daughter-in-law; Marsha Ringwald, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister; Kathyrn Camp. Visitation for family and friends will be 12:00 to 1:00 PM Friday, March 23th at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford with Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 PM at St. Andrew Church, Milford.
