On April 23, 2025, our beloved husband, father, and friend, Charles Elmer Weidner, left this world, leaving behind a legacy of service, knowledge, and memories filled with warmth. Born on May 22, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charlie lived a life that embodied dedication, resilience, and an unyielding spirit.
Growing up in Cincinnati, Charlie's journey took him to diverse paths, from serving his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War to becoming a trusted tow truck driver for Auto Works, where he earned the respect and friendship of his colleagues and customers alike. His years on the road not only showcased his industrious nature but also his unwavering commitment to helping those in need.
Charlie's life was marked by his deep-rooted connections to his community. He proudly volunteered with the Silverton Fire Department, showcasing his willingness to serve and protect. Additionally, he lent his skills as a dispatcher for the Silverton Police Department, playing an essential role in ensuring the safety of those around him. His dedication to public service mirrored his caring personality and his heartfelt desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
Known for his remarkable trivia knowledge, Charlie was a wellspring of information on countless subjects, captivating friends and family alike with his stories and fun facts. He had an extraordinary ability to foster connections through conversations that sparked joy and laughter.
He is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife, Susan Weidner, and their devoted son, Charles Edward Weidner. Together, they shared countless memories and moments that will forever remain a cherished part of their lives.
Following Charles's wishes for cremation, no services will be held.
In our time of mourning, we will remember a man who was more than a husband, father, and friend; Charlie was a vibrant soul whose spirit will forever inspire those left behind.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles & Lottie Weidner, and brothers Robert & Edward Weidner.
