Cheryl Manning

September 28, 1956 — December 3, 2025

Cheryl Anne (nee Dieckman) Manning of Milford, Ohio passed away after a long illness on December 3, 2025 at age 69.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Cheryl attended St. Jude Catholic Church in Bridgetown and graduated from Mother of Mercy High School. Cheryl went to work at another Cincinnati institution, Procter and Gamble, where her skills were highly valued. While working downtown, Cheryl met her husband, Bob, and they were married at St. Jude.

Cheryl was devout in her faith and fiercely dedicated to her family. She left her career at P&G to raise her two sons. As a mother, she instilled her boys with character and values including the importance of service, leading both to ultimately take positions in government. As a spouse, she supported Bob in building a successful business: Lykins Energy Solutions. Emblematic of their shared faith, Cheryl and Bob also presented on weekends for engaged and married Catholic couples.

Her life was filled with summers on Florida beaches and Christmases around a meticulously decorated tree. Her love, faith, and strong will remained with her all her life.

She is survived by her husband Bob; her children, Mark and Kevin; her grandchildren William, Callan, and Theodore; and her sister, Donna. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Anne.

The visitation will be held at Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 6-7:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at St. Andrew Church in Milford.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Pregnancy Center West (https://pcwest.org/donate/) or the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/get-involved-now/donate).
