Claris Evelyn Parker (nee James)

Daughter of the late Dave and Loval (Stamper) James. Preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Parker and her son Phillip. Survived by her daughter, Dinah (Jerry) and her son Shannon (Melissa). Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Dear sister to William Arthur James, Mary Charlene Lyons, Betty Ruth Lowe, Lucille Lillian Cannon, Janis Joanne James, Clayton Carolyne James, Kenneth Ray James, Alice Jean James, Phyllis Ann Griffy, and David Arvin James.

Passed away in peace on January 12, 2024, at the age of 88.

Claris was a very giving woman who would help anyone in need. She was very active in church and enjoyed making delicious homecooked meals. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. Claris loved children and helping those in need. Claris and her husband Bobby have fostered over 100 children through the years and provided them with a loving, stable home. Claris will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home – 1944 OH-28, Goshen, OH 45122. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery in Wayne Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Queen City Hospice.
