Clayton Clark, a beloved father, devoted husband, and skilled mechanic, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 17, 1938, in Morehead, Kentucky, Clayton grew up in a community that instilled in him the values of hard work and family. After proudly serving in the United States Air Force from January 20, 1959, to October 19, 1962, he went on to enjoy a successful career as a mechanic with Ford Motor Company for over 35 years.
Clayton was not just known for his technical skills but also for his passion for restoring classic cars, particularly his beloved Thunderbirds. When he wasn't under the hood tinkering with engines, he enjoyed his winters in Florida fishing on the lake. His love for the outdoors and all things mechanical were just a few of the many ways he connected with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years, Joyce Clark, and his daughters Tammie McQuinn (Tom) and Tamla Colwell (Jerry). His legacy continues through his grandchildren Anthony (Nicole) McQuinn, Colin McQuinn, Lori Colwell, and David (Haley) Colwell, as well as his precious great-grandchildren Emma and Levi McQuinn, and Clayton and Cassidy Colwell. Clayton cherished his family deeply and enjoyed many moments with his numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A visitation will be held in honor of Clayton at Evans Funeral Home in Milford on February 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to share stories and celebrate his remarkable life. The family expresses special gratitude to Hospice of Cincinnati and his dear friend and caregiver Cathy Ferguson for their compassionate support during his final days.
Clayton will be missed dearly, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Memorials may be directed to the Micael J. fox Parkinson Foundation. give.michaeljfox.org
