Connie Lou Fellers, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on May 25, 1948, in Flat Lick, Kentucky, Connie lived a life richly woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Connie leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion. She is survived by her spouse, Jerry Fellers, with whom she shared a loving marriage of over 56 years, having met during a blue light special at Kmart. Their bond was a testament to the magic of serendipity and the enduring strength of partnership. Connie is also survived by her children, Dennis VanNess, Cammy (Jason) Sharp, Andrew (Leslie) Fellers, and Guido (Tiffany) Fellers, each of whom carry with them the warmth and humor that Connie so generously shared.
Her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply, and she is remembered fondly by her grandchildren Nathan (Sarah) Sharp, Cara-lyn (Zach) Rohrback, Cassidy Robinson, Maddie Fellers, Dakota Fellers, Connor and Logan Draper, as well as her great-grandchildren Cora, Grace, and Leo. Connie's love was a guiding light in their lives, and her presence will be dearly missed. Connie was preceded in death by: her parents Arnold & Cleo Spurlock, and grandson Maxwell Dickey.
A member of the Batavia Baptist Temple, Connie found joy in her faith and devoted herself to the church community. Her involvement extended beyond mere attendance; her warmth and infectious sense of humor brought smiles to those around her. She also found immense joy in sewing, particularly quilting, and spent countless hours creating treasured pieces for her family, including playful Halloween costumes and underwear for friends that showcased her creativity and spirit.
Throughout her life, Connie exemplified the values of care and compassion, tending to the needs of her family with grace and dedication, often serving as a source of support for many. Her love for her dogs mirrored her nurturing spirit, reminding all who knew her of the simple joys in life.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Connie's life during her funeral service, which will take place at Evans Funeral Home in Goshen on March 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM, following a visitation at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating.
As we gather to remember and honor Connie Fellers, we do so with hearts filled with gratitude for her vibrant spirit and the indelible mark she has left on our lives. She will forever be cherished and remembered with love.
