Craig Schmidtgesling

Craig Dennis Schmidtgesling of Union Township, passed away on July 30, 2021 at the age of 55. He is the beloved husband of Hannah Sue Dumford Schmidtgesling, devoted father of Christina (Jon) Ayers, Elizabeth Ann Schmidtgesling and Sarah Jane Schmidtgesling, loving grandfather of Joshua Paul Ayers, cherished son of Paul and Jo Ann Schmidtgesling and son-in-law of Martha Dumford, dear brother of Steve Schmidtgesling and Dana Schmidtgesling.

Craig enjoyed coaching his daughters' soccer teams for over 12 years and earned the title of the "Mayor of Findlay Ray". He was very involved in their soccer careers in which he traveled to England twice for soccer tours and watched his daughters' participate as ball girls at the UC soccer games. When he wasn't rooting for his daughters, he was cheering on the FC Cincinnati team. He taught Sunday school at St. Elizabeth Seton Church for more than 10 years. He loved comic-con and music from the 70s and 80s especially showtunes. He would often sing along while watching Disney movies with his daughters. He was proud to spoil his daughters but made sure it was never rotten.

Family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Milford, on Wednesday, August 4th from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association by clicking HERE .
