Cynthia Rauth Ellis

Cynthia Jean (Rendall Rauth) Ellis passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024.

04/30/1940 - 02/26/2024 (83 years old)

Cynthia's life was a testament to the transformative power of love. As a mother she raised her three children to become passionate readers, nature, and art lovers and to be excited by the world around them. She continued to share her love with her three stepsons and nine grandchildren.

For 25 years she inspired generations of students to connect with literature and reading as an English teacher at Milford Junior High School and Milford High. For 6 years she helped students at Kids Helping Kids complete their educations and engage in art therapy. For 11 years you may have met her at the Lowes in Milford in the home and garden department. She was a born storyteller who was always busy and rarely sat still for long. She loved working in her garden, playing with her dogs and spoiling her grandchildren.

Cynthia is survived by her husband of 35 years John Ellis, her beloved brother Geoff (Nancy) Rendall, her daughters Kathleen Rauth (Sam Digman) and Carol Stout (Joe), her son Scott Rauth and by her stepsons Johnny Ellis (Amy Lynn), Chris Ellis (Alison), and Josh Ellis. She is also survived by her grandchildren William and Jackson Stout, Seth and Claire Ellis, Hayden and Kylee Ellis, Harlee and Haylen Ellis and Sage Rauth.

A Celebration of Life will be at Evans Funeral Home - Milford 741 Center Street Milford, Ohio 45150 Saturday March 9, 2024 the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
